In mid-August, the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) is holding that last of series of meetings statewide to assist Planning District Commission, Soil & Water Conservation District, and local government staff in development and implementation of local stormwater management programs. At the meetings, DCR presenters explain the requirements of the state’s revised Stormwater Management Regulations, preview tools that are under development to assist localities in implementing their local programs, and clarify timelines for implementation. Virginia’s new Stormwater e-Permitting System is demonstrated.

August 21, 1 p.m.-4 p.m., Hungry Mother State Park, Marion.

Previous meetings were held July 24 in Chatham, July 31 in Culpeper, August 6, and August 13 in Chesterfield.
