On October 1, 2012, the George Mason University Center for Regional Analysis released a 16-page study of the potential economic benefits of a proposed uranium mining and milling operation in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. The study examined the potential fiscal impact on Pittsylvania County, the potential impacts on the local housing market, and the potential economic benefits to the area.
