Great Southeast ShakeOut earthquake drill is at 10:18 a.m., today, 10/18/12. The basic drill for people inside a building is to drop to the floor, take cover under a sturdy desk or other sturdy furniture, and hold on to the furniture. Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and the District of Columbia are participating in the Southeast ShakeOut.
