On May 22, 2014, the National Weather Service/Storm Prediction Center received over 150 preliminary (not yet verified) reports of severe weather (tornadoes, high winds, or large hail), with the reports concentrated in the mid-Atlantic region of the country. Those reports included one possible tornado in Prince George, Virginia, and several reports of hail and high winds in the eastern third of the Commonwealth.
