Science in Virginia Takes the Stage May 20-23, 2015, at the Annual Meetings of the Virginia Academy of Science and the Virginia Junior Academy of Science, and a Special “State of Virginia’s Environment” Symposium, at James Madison University in Harrisonburg

Virginia scientists from agriculture, astronomy, biology, chemistry, education, medicine, natural history,  statistics, and many other fields will gather May 20-23, 2015, at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, for the 93rd annual meeting of the Virginia Academy of Science (May 21-23) and the 74th annual meeting of the Virginia Junior Academy of Science (May 20-22).   A special symposium on May 21, “The State of Virginia’s Environment,” will feature Virginia Secretary of Natural Resources Molly Ward as the keynote speaker, along with 16 other speakers on the state of Virginia’s lands, waters, plants, animals, and other resources and ecosystems.  For more information, visit http://www.vacadsci.org/meetings.htm; on contact the Virginia Academy of Science at (804) 864-1450 or vas@smv.org.
