On Virginia Water Radio for 6-15-15: Operation Dry Water Works on Taking the Alcohol Out of the Boating Waters

Virginia Water Radio’s latest episode, Episode 270, 6-15-15, is “Operation Dry Water Targets Boating Under the Influence.”  The 4 min./20 sec. episode looks at the impact of alcohol on boating and Operation Dry Water’s efforts to reduce drinking while boating.  Music by the Nelson County and Charlottesville-based band Chamomile and Whiskey, and by the Blacksburg and  Roanoke-based band The Floorboards, provide musical metaphors appropriate for the dangerous mix of alcohol and boating.  (Please note that Operation Dry Water and its annual pre-July 4th enforcement focus (June 26-28 in 2015) are also the subject of the June 11, 2105, Grouper post at this link.)

Virginia Water Radio’s is a weekly broadcast/podcast produced by the Virginia Water Resources Research Center.  The home page is http://www.virginiawaterradio.org.  Have a listen!
