Virginia General Permit for Nitogen and Phosphorus Dicharges and Nutrient Credit Trading Propsed for Reissuance in 2016; Public Hearing in Glen Allen on Jan. 21, 2016

The Virginia State Water Control Board and Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) are proposing amendment and reissuance of the Virginia Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (VPDES) General Watershed Permit Regulation for Total Nitrogen and Total Phosphorus Discharges and Nutrient Trading in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed in Virginia.

A public hearing on the proposal will be held on January 21, 2016, 2 p.m., at the DEQ Piedmont Regional Office, 4949-A Cox Road in Glen Allen (Henrico County).  Click here for the Virginia Regulatory Town Hall notice for the January 21 public hearing.

The proposed changes appeared in the Virginia Register of Regulations on 12/14/15; the public comment period runs 12/14/15 to 2/12/16.  A Notice of Intended Regulatory Action was published on February 4, 2015; the public comment period on that notice ended 3/25/15.
