In 2016, the Virginia Lakes and Watersheds Association (VLWA) is again offering its annual Leo Bourassa scholarships to Virginia residents who are attending an accredited Virginia college or university. Eligible applicants are full-time undergraduate students, and full-time or part-time graduate students, enrolled in a curriculum related to water resources. Past award amounts have been from $1,000 to $3,000 each. According to the VLWA’s announcement for this year, the organization intends to award at least one undergraduate and one graduate scholarship, and additional scholarships may be awarded depending on the number and quality of applicants.
The deadline to apply for this year’s scholarships is April 1, 2016.
